Would You Mind Taking A Picture Of Me & My Phone?

Since the creation of cell phones there has been an increasing amount of people who enjoy getting their pictures taken of themselves and their phone, like it's their best friend or something. More and more pictures like this have obviously been surfacing over the years. It seems most of these people really only get these pictures taken with their (best friend) phone in private with what appears to be a restroom in the background.

What? Are they ashamed of their phones to take these pictures out in public? Thinking people will find it odd that they're getting a picture taken of just them and their phone. What does the person who is taking these picture think? Having to go in to the restroom and take a picture of someone and their phone. I'm sure I won't soon understand this phenomenon but I just hope that laws don't get passed to allow people to marry their phones. Here are a few people who love their phones enough to have their pictures taken with them.

Disclaimer: No authorization has been granted for the use of these images but they're already on the internet so what's the big deal. However, names have been changed to protect the innocent (i.e. "iPhone" is now "John Smith")
